It was our day off yesterday, the sun was shining, so Joyce and I went for a walk. We drove up to the Welcome Bay hills where there is a very picturesque walk that takes you to Kaitai Falls. these waterfalls are quite special one of them is a stepped fall, the other is a big drop into a pool. It is a lovely place to sit and relax, unfortunatly at this time of year there are lots of nasty bitey insects lurking so we did not linger too long.

New resident, New Zealand

Hello world, this is my first Blog. I have just been granted permanent residency in New Zealand after having been here for three years. During those three years there have been many trials and tribulations and if you visit my website (it is under construction at the moment but is nearly finished. Should be published first week in March) it explains the whole Immigration process and I think if any one is thinking about the big move to New Zealand they will find it very useful. With this Blog I want to write about the little things that happen in the daily life of an English cafe owner in one of New Zealand's top holiday destinations.
